Biography
Leanne has just finished working alongside Barnstorm Theatre Company over the last several months. In their revival of The Bus written by Maeve Ingoldsby. This play ran as part of this year's Dublin Theatre Festival, alongside a theatrical run in the Watergate Theatre Kilkenny.
In April this year Leanne completed a theatrical run of new writing play Hate F%#k, which premiered in The New theatre. This play was rated a four star review by The Arts Review. The full review can be found here.
Leanne also had a sell out run of her one woman show RETCH, as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival 2023. Leanne was nominated for both The Bewley's Little Gem Award and Best Performer.She also had a supporting role in feature film Verdigris. Which premiered at the Galway Film Festival 2023 and went onto win Best Independent feature film 2023. This film went on to be nominated for five Irish Film and Television Academy Awards 2024
Leanne also plays the leading female role in feature film, Dublin Crust. Which did a six week theatrical run in both Omniplex and Odeon cinemas nationwide. She was most recently awarded Best Actor in The Dublin International Comedy Film Festival 2023 for her role in Dublin Crust.
Leanne’s training includes Anam Theatre Online Playwriting Course (2021), Bow Street National Screen Academy Of Ireland (2019) and a Bachelor's Degree in Drama from D.I.T Conservatory of Music and Drama (2017).
