Fiana caught the acting bug in her teens at Dublin Youth Theatre and made her professional  debut with Druid Theatre Company at the Donmar Warehouse in Conversations on a Homecoming back in 1987. Fiana had the privilege to play opposite Vanessa Redgrave in Long Day’s Journey into Night on Broadway and has appeared on TV in the iconic show The Sopranos among many others. She played opposite a sweet kid in his first ever TV role in Law & Order Criminal Intent, he grew up to be Timothee Chalamet. Last year Fiana  appeared in 'Orpheus Descending' at Theatre for a New Audience in NYC with Maggie Siff directed by Erica Schmidt. She has worked on classical plays, Shakespeare and the Greeks, workshopped plays in development, originated roles, recorded audiobooks, and performed in shows based on audience participation and improv.

Fiana trained at Trinity College and then in New York with Uta Hagen. It is lifelong learning and along the way she's been blessed by many fabulous teachers both on stage and off.

Fiana recently completed a BA in Film and TV production where she wrote and directed the award-winning short film 'Dinner with Lenny'.  That lead her to apply for and get selected as one of six writers in Greenlight Screenwriting Lab 2024 run by NTA Screen Ireland and Danu Media. Fiana has been an actor for over thirty years and there is always something to get excited about and interesting work to be done.
