Biography

Mike is a Dublin based actor, writer & director native of Co.Kilkenny, Ireland.

He has just recently filmed the role of Constable Henderson in This is Not a Murder Mystery, directed by Hans Herbot/ Matthias Leeber & produced by Deadpan Pictures.

Other 2024 credits include a leading role in drama short film Goodnight, Midnight; which featured at both the Indie Cork and Disappear Here Film Festivals.

Mike appeared in the co-lead role of Ben in Looking For; featuring on Virgin Media Television, IndieCork Film Festival & won ‘Best Student Short’ at the Royal Television Society awards.

Adept with improv and comedic acting, he filmed in various roles for Newscheck Comedy for the online series Guarding Ireland, also in 2024. In the past, he's been a 3 time Monologue Challenge winner with Ali Coffey Casting’s site Fishpond.

He holds a B.A & M.A in English from U.C.C & later trained at the Gaiety School of Acting, among others. Mike is a qualified primary school teacher.

A regular loop-group & voice-over artist, he has provided scripted & improvised accent work for Normal People, Small Things Like These, Conversations With Friends, The Dry, Obituary, Bodkin, Joyride, Blood, Dublin Murders, Miss Scarlet and the Duke, Redemption, Harry Wild; & many more.

Mike is a singer, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist with his music project Drop The Shadow. Previous  releases have featured in many notable music publications including Hot Press Magazine & include the music videos which he has written/ directed.
