Cate is about to start filming Irish feature film Solitary (dir Eamonn Murphy)
Cate recently filmed German crime series Der Irland Krimi (dir Matthias Tiefenbacher), RTE docudrama Tomorrow Tonight Ireland 2050 (Loosehorse Productions), feature film The Christmas Break (Marvista Entertainment), and short film Lambing with Pat Shott by multi-award winning filmmaker Katie McNeice.
Cate is a graduate from Bow Street Academy of Screen Acting (PT programme, 2018) and University of Wolverhampton (BA Drama, 1st Class Hons, 2016). She has performed the role of Zadie in MALAPROP’s Blackcatfishmusketeer by Carys D. Coburn at Inside Out Theatre, Beijing, The Lyric Theatre, Belfast, Camden People’s Theatre, London, Edinburgh Fringe and Dublin Fringe Festival. She featured as a lead role in two productions by Malaprop Theatre Company in 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. For two seasons she toured six shows in Germany, Switzerland and Denmark with the Wilde Shamrock Touring Theatre (2018-19). She performed in Mr. Burns: a Post-Electric Play by Rough Magic seeds, directed by Ronan Phelan (2017) and Enjoy by Rough Magic seeds, directed by Zoe Ní Riordain (2015).
Before moving to Dublin in 2014, Cate was a core member and deviser for five years with the London-based Theo Adams Company, an award-winning theatre ensemble, and toured worldwide with their productions of Cry Out, Entertainment and Tonight is Forever. In 2012, they were invited to undertake the prestigious Robert Wilson Residency in the Watermill Centre, NY. Collaborations include Louis Vuitton, Tate Britain, ICA, Union Gallery, W Magazine, i-D Magazine and Dazed and Confused as well as underground performance platforms (Shunt, Eat Your Heart Out).
